If you are not sure whether to make a complaint about a government department, or you need help to do so, the organisations listed here can provide some information and assistance.
This is not a comprehensive list, but here are some organisations that may be able to help.
HEALTH AND DISABILITY
Advocare is an independent advocacy agency that promotes the rights of people receiving aged residential and community care services.
The Association's services include rehabilitation and support, information and advocacy.
Carers WA provides information and support to carers.

The Disability Services Commission assists people with disabilities, their families and carers to access support and services.
The Health Consumers' Council represents consumers in health policy and service delivery, and advocates on behalf of consumers to government, doctors, other health professionals, hospitals and the wider health system.
The Centre provides advice and representation to consumers of mental health services.
The Public Advocate provides advocacy and guardianship services for adults with decision-making disabilities such as dementia, an intellectual disability, an acquired brain injury or a psychiatric condition.
People With Disabilities WA provides advocacy, referral and information services to people with disabilities and the community.

The WA Deaf Society provides a range of services, including education , employment , information , interpreting , regional , social and youth services.

LEGAL, WELFARE AND HOUSING
WRAS WA is a free service that provides independent information, advice, advocacy and referral about government provided services, such as social security and housing. By appointment only.
The Tenants Advice Service provides tenancy information, advice and advocacy for private rental and Homeswest tenants.
The Citizens Advice Bureau provides low cost legal services, information and referral at many locations across metropolitan Perth and regional WA.
SSCLS provides low cost legal advice about social security, tenancy issues, and family law. It also provides a disability discrimination advocate.
CLAC provides welfare rights advocacy, tenancy information, advocacy and assistance, financial counselling and legal advice.
